I'm Jose Alfonzo Reyes.
Reystone Construction is my company. My license, my name on the permit, my answer when something needs deciding.
I started on job sites before I was old enough to drive to them.
My father has been in construction my whole life. I spent summers and weekends on his jobs, sweeping, carrying material, and eventually doing the work. That is where I learned how a house goes together — and what a job looks like when it is done right versus done fast.
After high school I joined the Marine Corps. What I took from it is not a slogan. It is a habit of showing up when I said I would, doing the work in the right order, and finishing what I started.
How I got here
I took the license exam instead.
After the Marine Corps, I finished college and built a career outside construction, eventually earning a master's degree at USC. But I kept coming back to the work I grew up around. I took the contractor's license exam and started Reystone because I wanted to build again — this time under my own name.
My dad works with me. Most recently, I led a South Gate ADU from plan check through construction, inspections and final closeout.
I keep the project load deliberate so I can stay involved where it matters: scope, trade selection, major decisions, quality control, inspections and closeout.
Framing, concrete, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing — different scopes call for different specialists. Some work is performed directly by Reystone and some by qualified subcontractors who work in that trade every week. Either way, I select the trades, coordinate the sequence, check the work against the scope and remain responsible for the contract. You are not coordinating trades or chasing down responsibility.
When something needs deciding, you have a direct line to me. The responsibility does not get passed down a chain.

California contractor license 1142540. Look it up on the CSLB website before you call me. That is what it is for.
General B, plus C-61/D-28 for doors, gates and activating devices. Both sit on the same license number.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach training, intended for supervisors and workers with safety responsibility. Course-completion card available for verification.
Contractor's bond in place as required by the state. Certificate available on request.
